Meet the Founder

Sarit Marcus created Minted Space to provide individuals a platform to access sustainable products, designs and solutions.

Sarit merged her background in environmental, health, and philanthropic advocacy with her love of interiors to create Minted Space—a sustainable, ethical home furnishings brand and design studio dedicated to beautiful, conscious living.

Recognizing a major gap in the sustainability space—limited,
hard-to-navigate options for sustainably made home products and design
guidance—Sarit set out to build a resource she wished had existed for herself and her clients. Minted Space’s award-winning Eco Guide clearly communicates the sustainability and ethical standards of every product, empowering customers to make informed choices with ease. In addition to its curated online store, Minted Space offers sustainable interior design services that prioritize wellness, nontoxic materials, and responsible manufacturing.

Sarit holds a B.A. in English from the University of Florida and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California, where she concentrated on environmental programs and policy. She is a LEED Green Associate in Interior Design and Construction (USGBC) and a Green Accredited Professional through the Sustainable Furnishings Council.

Before launching Minted Space, Sarit built a diverse career across nonprofit and private sectors. In nonprofit work, she led multi-sector projects for an
international healthcare foundation, spearheaded community awareness campaigns, and helped secure funding for a women’s homeless shelter. In the private sector, she served as a senior consultant at a boutique firm specializing in business development, government affairs, corporate social responsibility, and environmental policy. There, she managed portfolios for global philanthropists, elected officials, C-level executives, and public figures, and headed the firm’s environmental department, overseeing large-scale initiatives including green-building retrofits, electric vehicle manufacturing, and water-saving technologies.

Across her career, Sarit has advised leaders in both corporate and nonprofit organizations on sustainability strategy, CSR initiatives, environmental policy, business development, and strategic communications.

Sarit currently lives and designs in Los Angeles, drawing on experiences from
previous chapters in New York City, San Diego, Tampa, and Washington, D.C. to
inform her globally aware, yet deeply personal, approach to sustainable design.
